5 Days Lake Mburo National Park Safari will enable you to do game viewing, birding, nature walks, and boat cruise at Lake Mburo National Park. This attractive park of rolling hills and open grassy valleys interspersed with thickets woodlands and rich wetlands is the only place in Uganda where Impala still occurs and is the best place to see large herds of Elands (African’s largest Antelopes). It is one of the only two Ugandan National Parks where Burchell’s Zebra are found and where a guided game walk is possible.

We have carefully planned out each day to give you the best possible experience. Join us as we take you on a journey through some of the most fascinating destinations in the world.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our safari guide who will transfer you to Kampala to a hotel booked for you. In case you have had an early flight to Uganda, you will be taken on a brief tour of the city of Kampala. The next day the Lake Mburo National Park Safari adventure begins.

The Lake Mburo National Park Safari starts after breakfast then we travel west of Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park. The journey will take 3-4 hours with a stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take memorial photos. You will continue to Lake Mburo where you will have lunch at the lodge booked for you.
In the afternoon, you will go on a boat trip on the lake to see a variety of animals such as hippos and crocodiles and bird species such as Pelicans, Black Crake, Heron, Cormorant, and Fish Eagle which can only be viewed clearly on a boat trip. You will retire to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

You will have an early breakfast and set off for a sunrise game drive in the park where you can expect to see a variety of wildlife such as zebras, monkeys, impalas, waterbucks, elands, buffaloes, hippos, topi, Bohor reedbuck, sitatunga antelope, klipspringer, vervet monkey, olive baboon, side-striped Jackal, spotted-hyena, leopard, white-tailed mongoose, among others.
You will return to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon go for either horse riding around the park, or a Nature walk in the Rubanga Forest.
This forest offers excellent habitat for birds therefore a very attractive place for bird watching. Time allows you would participate in sports fishing at Lake Mburo before retiring to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

You will have breakfast and then set off for a cultural tour in the Nshenyi area. This is a cultural tour that rotates around cattle i.e. the keeping, grazing, and benefits. Highlights involve witnessing how milk is extracted from the udders of the cows and treated to become ghee.
You also see how the Bahima community set up their homesteads, take a village walk, and if it’s a market day we visit the market. In the evening, entertainment by the local community can be arranged.

You drive back to Kampala, arriving in the afternoon. No accommodation and meal will be provided.
